She drives a automatic base Lancer (newish), with plates that read MS MITSU, and has LANCER and mits logos all over it (and black painted alloys), and on the back of her neck she has the 3-diamonds logo, and some writing that I haven't seen all of. And no, I do not want to.

I had a Talon DL that had 92hp. With a 5-speed it wasn't bad. It got out of its own way. But in a 4-door, with modern safety devices.... I hope they can keep the weight down with that kind of power output.

shift pattern on right wrist, periodic table symbol for lead on the inside of my right ankle, and the "unrestricted speed limit" sign from the autobahn on my left ribcage.

Is this, do you think, the same mentality (though, I considered using the word 'psychosis') that drives people to embrace a corporate subculture based on consuming products which disguise their lack of quality with the image of quantity; the "if you buy one, you'll belong" internal monologue?

I could never understand the Saturn cults that cropped up, and the New Beetle get-togethers where people with no practical understanding of the product (in this case, their cars) gather in big, corporate wet-dream circle jerks. These people almost never modified their cars, instead relying on the "rigorous" maitenance schedules laid out by the OEM outside of maybe a couple Darwin-Jesus-Fish stickers or maybe those stick figure stickers they put on their rear glass to show everyone how fruitful their loins are.

It reminds me a lot of early iPod culture, "I don't know how it works, but TV tells me it's the best, so fuck you and your Zune but I don't really know why. Oh shit, this is my jam." Fucking shilouette people with their white danglies.
